Membership levels and fees are explained in detail below.



Member Levels

Unified Membership is open to a current or former director, assistant director, supervisor, or coordinator in Indiana who is also a member of CEC and CASE.  Benefits include: 

            • Hold office, serve as Roundtable representative to the Executive Board, or serve as an Executive Standing Committee, subcommittee, or task force chair or co-chair.
            • Roundtable membership
            • Serve on committees, subcommittees and task forces
            • Receive general information from the organization
            • Attend ICASE activities

Cost of Membership: 



ICASE Only Membership is open to a current or former director, assistant director, supervisor, or coordinator in Indiana who has chosen not to affiliate with CEC and CASE. Benefits include: 

            • Roundtable membership
            • Serve on committees, subcommittees or task forces
            • Serve as subcommittee chair or co-chair
            • Receive general information from the organization
            • Attend ICASE activities

ICASE Only members may not hold office, chair or co-chair Executive Standing Committees or task forces, or serve as a Roundtable representative to the Executive Board.

Cost of Membership:  $205


Aspiring Membership is open to an individual who is not an administrator and is enrolled in a graduate program leading to a Director of Exceptional Needs License. Benefits include 

            • Roundtable membership
            • Receive general information from the organization
            • Attend ICASE Fall and Spring Conferences at a reduced rate of $150 per conference

Aspiring members may not vote, hold office, chair or co-chair Executive Standing Committees or task forces, or serve as a Roundtable representative to the Executive Board.

Cost of Membership:  $50


Associate Membership is open to any other professional fields related to the practice of special education leadership, but not eligible for another class of membership (could be IRN members, attorneys, non-special education school staff, state consultant, university faculty or other administrator in the field of special education in public agencies in Indiana). Benefits include 

            • Roundtable membership
            • Receiving general information from the organization
            • Attending ICASE activities at a Member rate

Associate Members may not vote, hold office, chair or co-chair Executive Standing Committees or task forces, serve as a Roundtable Representative or serve on a committee.

Cost of Membership:  $150


Retiree Membership is open to individuals who were previously a member of ICASE, have retired, and are not currently working in the educational field. Benefits include 

            • Free ICASE membership
            • Roundtable membership
            • Serve on committees, subcommittees or task forces
            • Serve as subcommittee chair or co-chair
            • Receive general information from the organization
            • Attend ICASE activities.  Discounted ICASE Fall and Spring Conference attendance

Retiree Members may not vote, hold office, chair or co-chair Executive Standing Committees or task forces, or serve as a Roundtable Representative.

Cost of Membership:  $0

Dues payments are non-refundable.

Contributions or gifts to ICASE are not tax deduct­ible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, dues payments (except for specific governmental affairs expenses) may be deductible as a professional or business expense to the extent allowable by law. 21 percent of these dues is non-deductible as it relates to a governmental affairs expense.
